Groovy Bee® Ahiflower Oil 90 Softgels - Plant-Based Omega 3-6-9
Description
The ahiflower plant gets its name from its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, which is comparable to the oils from fatty fish, such as the ahi tuna. In fact, it is considered to be the richest non-fish source of omega fatty acids on the planet. Two of the most important and common types of omega-3 fatty acids are docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). While these fatty acids are more commonly found in fish sources, ahiflower oil contains stearidonic acid (SDA), which is also more readily and more efficiently converted into DHA and EPA than oils sourced from plants such as flax, chia, hemp, perilla, sancha inchi and echium.

The Health Ranger Store is thrilled to offer a high-quality, lab-verified source of omega-fatty acids with Groovy Bee® Ahiflower Oil Softgels. Not only are they an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, but our premium ahiflower oil softgels contain a unique, well-balanced combination of omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids that support overall health and well-being – all without any of the downsides of fish oil, such as possible mercury or microplastic contamination.
With Groovy Bee® Ahiflower Oil Softgels, you get all the health benefits of omega fatty acids in one convenient, lab-verified, plant-based supplement. To ensure that you get only the best and cleanest omega supplements possible, our premium ahiflower oil softgels are sustainably sourced from trusted growers using our Crop Assured 365® proprietary process of identity preservation. Ahiflower oil contains a well-balanced combination of omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids**
Omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids are all important dietary fats. Each one provides its own health benefits. You can increase your intake of these healthy fats by consuming plenty of omega-rich superfoods, such as mackerel, sardines, anchovies, herring, salmon and other fatty fish. However, unlike these other natural sources, only ahiflower oil can provide the mentioned fatty acids in suitable proportions, such as 2:1:1 for omega-3:6:9. Furthermore, ahiflower oil has a higher omega-3-6-9 fatty acid content than other seed oils, such as flax, hemp, chia or evening primrose seed oils.
Why is ahiflower oil the perfect alternative to fish oil?**
While fish oil remains the world’s biggest source of omega fatty acids, it does pose several disadvantages and risks for its consumers, such as the following:
- Fish oil supplements put consumers at risk for mercury contamination – Mercury is a toxic heavy metal that can damage your organs and neurological system. While relatively rare in the earth’s crust, the world’s oceans and other bodies of water contain traces of this toxin, which can then accumulate inside the bodies of fish in a process called biomagnification, or bioamplification. Because of this, many omega-3 supplements derived from fish may be contaminated with levels of mercury that may be toxic to consume.
- Fish oil supplements are notorious for improper preservation – Due to oxidation, many fish oil-based supplements are prone to breaking down more quickly than plant-based omega supplements, especially when they are not properly preserved.
- Fish oil supplements do not have a complete ratio of omega fatty acids – According to medical experts, obtaining all the fatty acids that your body needs is necessary for overall health. But doing so can be difficult since most supplements on the market offer just one or two types of omegas at a time. Furthermore, several studies have shown that in order to get the most out of these good fats, you need to consume all of them together in a properly balanced ratio.
- Production of fish oil supplements promotes the use of unsustainable and untraceable sources – While there are claims that fish-derived omega-3s help preserve marine species, this is often just marketing hype. In fact, according to several studies, farming fish for supplements actually depletes both the supply and diversity of fish. In addition, this highly unsustainable practice also contributes to the spread of invasive species that not only compete with native fishes for resources but also consume native fishes themselves.
